The 5th Latin-American Visual Arts Biennial – VentoSul happens in Curitiba from August to October 2009. The general curators are the art critics Ticio Ecobar and Leonor Amarante. A consultive council formed by the experient critics Fabio Magalhães, Fernando Cocchiarale, Ivo Mesquita, Justo Pastor Mellado, Andrea Giunta, Tereza de Arruda and Berta Sichel contributes with the general curators.
Tereza de Arruda curated the Asian participations as well as part of the European participations, including the following artists: Takafumi Hara (Japan), Yukihiro Taguchi (Japan), Miao Xiaochun (China), Wang Qingsong (China), Liu Ding (China), Ma Jiawei (China), Reena Kallat (India), Sheba Chhachhi (India), Norbert Attard (Malta), Benjamin Wild (Germany).
