The exhibition "50 years of realism - From photorealism to virtual reality" presents an unpublished and extensive collection of reality and its representation in several segments of contemporary art in the last five decades.

The proposal has a character of novelty, since the phenomenon of the representation of reality has never been treated from the photorealism perspective, which has been improved through hyper-realism and followed by the perspective of future expansion through virtual reality, says the curator. For Arruda, image and reality, as well as truth and reality, seem at first glance to be identical. "Precisely because of this approach, a certain strangeness and discomfort arises at the moment when we ask ourselves what reality is and how important it is in artistic representation”.
