Ji Yeon Heo first exhibition at Galerie Schuster Photo consists of pictures which are photo-extracts put on top of each other and creating a curious spatiality. Her models are window mannequins, with noticeable individual faces. There are all scenes of loneliness, alienation, emptiness and evanescence – but Heo doesn't try to conceal the fact that these are just mannequins with digital ability. In her productions she only works with light and with a masterful apprehension of narrative contexts created through the composition of different levels made out of the construction and deconstruction of the original image.
